in selecting a location that it would be impossible for someone to know

Financial Planning Sure everyone
says they can write a business plan (you buy one for $50.00 in the
can), but very few people can write plans that are specific to your
restaurant. Our plans include the site selection process, demographics
to support the selection of a location as well as information on the
lease if the timing is right. We also include complete cost breakdowns
of all costs, down to the small wares. We even include construction
estimates with cost breakdowns based on the history of doing
restaurants all over the United States. Our business plans include
complete projections in great detail for as many years as the lender
will require. We can do ongoing balance sheets as well, if required by
the lender. Most restaurant consultants do not have any financial, or
accounting backgrounds, we do.
Operations and Accounting Experience If
called in we are able to identify operational problems, which often
lead to accounting problems. It's amazing how many operators do not
know how to calculate their food costs properly, let alone be able to
figure out their true breakeven point. We have been guest speakers at a
national convention, speaking on this topic, telling people how to
figure a breakeven point. Having good food is really just the
beginning; you are starting a "business", not throwing a dinner party

your business. Too many would be restaurateurs try to get by without
one because they know everything anyway. Our manuals are the most
complete how to manuals ever created. They have everything from showing
how to prep every item in the restaurant to how to schedule your
employees, how to maintain your equipment, hire, and every other
function in between.
Lease Negotiations We have done
more than a 100 ourselves. We know more than most attorneys when it
comes down to negotiating specific restaurant leases that need to
contain many different clauses for your protection than a "normal"
lease, if there is such a thing. Negotiating leases properly can save
your financial future particularly if you decide to sell the business.
I have seen many friends run into monumental problems with their
business just because the lease was not properly negotiated up front.
